Termite (WDI) Inspection

Wood-destroying insects are a fact of life in Texas. Know before you buy.

Termite damage in wood

What’s Covered

A wood-destroying insect (WDI) inspection looks for visible evidence of subterranean termites, drywood termites, carpenter ants and other wood-destroying insects, including mud tubes, damaged wood and frass, as well as conditions that invite them, such as wood-to-soil contact, high soil or mulch against the slab, and moisture problems. Our home inspection reports have documented termite tubes at the foundation; a WDI inspection evaluates that risk in detail. Our WDI inspections are performed in-house by inspectors licensed by the Texas Department of Agriculture.

Who It’s For

Homebuyers, especially when a lender requires a WDI report, and owners who want a professional opinion on termite activity or conducive conditions.
